CollinsWoermanFounded in 1988, CollinsWoerman is a collaborative architecture, design and planning firm that provides integrated, sustainable solutions. We specialize in six marketplaces: Healthcare, Sustainable Urban Design and Planning; Interior Architecture/Design, Commercial, Mixed-Use/Residential, and Science and Technology.

Our staff of 75 consists of architects, planners, entitlements specialists, sustainability experts, technical architects, interior designers, CAD specialists, LEED® Accredited Professionals, marketing and business development professionals.

Planning and designing about $1 billion a year, CollinsWoerman plans and designs for a wide variety of project types, including sustainable communities; mixed-use, commercial and retail developments; healthcare and science and technology facilities; and corporate interiors.

PRINCIPALS

altARLAN COLLINS

With 30 years of experience, including 20 years as a managing partner of CollinsWoerman, Arlan manages multiple projects for leading Northwest organizations, agencies and complex science and technology facilities. He is recognized as an innovator in his approach to client services and in managing the regulatory and community review process. He has five children, and resides in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. In his spare time, he enjoys running and fly-fishing.

altMARK WOERMAN

Mark leads CollinsWoerman’s commercial architecture area of practice and specializes in assisting clients with real estate market evaluation.  He has 32 years of experience in managing projects for leading Northwest organizations and agencies.  As a partner at CollinsWoerman, he continues to work with several key clients as well as focusing on staying ahead of changing shifts in the marketplace and broadening the firm’s overall capabilities in the area of commercial architecture. Mark is a long-time resident of Capitol Hill, and can be found in his spare time at the dog park with his two boxers, Remo and Riggs. A charter season ticket holder, he spends football season at the Seahawks games on Sundays.

alt PHIL GIUNTOLI

Phil Giuntoli has over 30 years of experience focused on the design of healthcare facilities. His particular interest is in the logical expansion of healthcare delivery systems and the distribution of services provided locally versus centrally. Architecture has been his passion since exiting from the subway in downtown Chicago at the age of 10 on his way to art lessons. Phil divides his time between his homes in Ballard and the Olympic Peninsula. Phil is married with three children and two grandchildren.

As the leader of CollinsWoerman’s Sustainable Development practice, Steve has more than 19 years of experience leading governments, planners, architects, land owners, and project teams towards increased sustainability. He specializes in creating tools and alternative strategies that lead to resilient infrastructure systems for cities and large developments. As a consultant, Steve led creation of the global program called Cities of the Future for the International Water Association. This has taken him from Stockholm to Singapore, Istanbul to Rio de Janeiro. Steve resides with his wife on Bainbridge Island when he isn’t traveling the globe. He is a also composer and plays the tuba in a brass quintet.
