Senior Designer

Status: Full Time
Salary: DOE

General:
This is a senior level position. As a Senior Designer the ideal applicant will assist with defining the overall design process on various projects, and will be a key member of interview team competing for new work. A Senior Designer is expected to regularly attend team meetings to review project design, clearly communicate design work to the project team and the client, and assist with client meetings. Candidates will be expected to maintain effective working relationships with team members, clients, contractors, and public agencies.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will be to create extraordinary project designs to meet the client’s project requirements, optimize design value with the cost of construction, and integrate sustainable design into all projects. Support the site design process, and the development of alternative schematic design solutions, which will result in coherent, logical, and extraordinary site plans that meet the project requirements. Responsible for the design development documentation that accurately describes the appropriate scope, quality and cost. Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for design questions.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Masters Degree in Architecture preferred), Architectural license (breadth of individual experience may replace license), advance knowledge of construction materials, building standards, systems and codes. Previous supervisory and personnel management skills are a requirement. Proficiency in AutoCAD and additional 3-D software is required. An ideal individual will have 15 plus years of successful experience working as Senior Architectural Designer.

Technical Architect

Status: Full Time
Salary: DOE

General:
This is a mid-range to senior level position, DOE. As a Technical Architect the successful applicant will be responsible for design, development, and documentation of all technical aspects for building projects, code analysis and assisting with construction administration. This position is responsible for all technical aspects of projects, from making recommendations during initial design concepts through construction, and will be expected to coordinate with other members of the team to insure success of all technical aspects of projects.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include implementing design intent through details, sections, specifications, and developing working drawings and construction documents on a given project with responsibility for full client interface and authority to direct, control and monitor all activities.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors or (Masters Degree in Architecture preferred), Architectural license (breadth of individual experience may replace license), advance knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes. Previous supervisory and personnel management skills are required. Proficiency in AutoCAD design software is a requirement. An ideal individual will have 15 plus years of successful experience working on commercial, medical, research or other project types as a Technical Architect.

Senior Project Manager

Status: Full Time

General:
This is a senior level position. As a Senior Project Manager the ideal applicant will have a history of successfully managing complex projects and will be responsible for administering all phases of a project from initial design concepts through construction. Candidates will be expected to coordinate with other Project Managers to maximize staff utilization and the success of both their and other projects. In addition to management skills, the Project Manager is to be knowledgeable of all aspects of technical and design skills related to projects.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include managing, leading, and developing staff in the successful completion of multiple complex projects. Also responsible for the coordination of the budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, specification, and developing working drawings on a given project with responsibility for full client interface and authority to direct, control and monitor all activities.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Masters Degree in Architecture preferred), Architectural license (breadth of individual experience may replace license), advance knowledge of project coordination, roles and responsibilities of consultants, coordination of construction contract translation and implementation of design intent, construction materials, standards and codes. Extensive supervisory and personnel management skills required. Proficiency in AutoCAD design software is a required, knowledge of Microsoft Project is a required. An ideal individual will have 15 plus years of successful experience working as Project Manager.


Project Manager – Healthcare

Status: Full Time

General:
This position is responsible for administering all phases of project from initial design concepts through construction.  Will be expected to coordinate with other Project Managers to maximize staff utilization and the success of other projects.  In addition to management skills, the Project Manager is to be knowledgeable with all aspects of technical and design skills related to projects.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, specification, and developing working drawings on a given project with responsibility for full client interface and authority to direct, control and monitor all activities. 

Minimum Requirements: 
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural license (breadth of individual experience may replace registration), advance knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes.  Previous supervisory and personnel management skills are highly desirable. CADD proficiency is a plus.   An ideal individual will have 10 plus years of successful experience working on Healthcare projects as a Project Manager.

Senior Interior Designer - Lead

Status: Full Time
Salary: DOE

General:
This is a senior level management position.  As the leader of the firm’s Interior Design staff, the successful applicant will establish the direction, policy, and leadership of the Interior Design market sector integrating with the strategic planning direction of all market sectors.  This position shall take the lead in conceptualizing the Interior Design direction of the firm, coordinating and supporting Interior Design staff, marketing to existing and potential clients and preparing creative award winning design proposals for presentations to clients.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will be to

  • Initiate, lead, and develop new Interior Design projects and lead the firm’s marketing efforts by developing new clients and maintaining contact with past and existing clients for new business development
  • Identify growth opportunities/new business areas for CollinsWoerman
  • Serve as most senior contact with clients, consultants, and public agencies on all Interiors projects
  • Advocate integrated design process firm-wide on all projects while supporting a work environment that is collaborative, creative, honest, fun, and fulfilling
  • Facilitate, motivate and mentor staff to the highest level of design quality while maintaining a disciplined effort to serve the needs of our clients first and foremost
  • Provide guidance and leadership for all Interior Design aspects of projects including developing schedules, manpower allocations, and budgets on all assigned projects
  • Develop schedules, staffing allocations, and budgets on all assigned projects
  • Act as the lead for new staff searches and interviews

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Masters Degree preferred) with extensive experience in all phases of interior architectural projects and their management in a broad range of sectors. Must have exceptional communication and leadership skills. Substantial knowledge of architectural proposal and contract preparation and successful marketing experience are requirements. Significant Marketing/Business Development experience is essential as well as supervisory, client/project management, and personnel management skills are a requirement. An ideal individual will have 15 plus years of professional experience and be NCIDQ certified or have an architectural license. LEED certification a plus.

Essential to All Applicants:
In-depth Marketing/Business Development experience is required of all applicants. Individual history should include magnitude of marketing success in terms of revenue volume generated new client developed and repeat business secured.
