City of Redmond Strategic Design Program, Redmond WA

Tom Hudson was project manager for a year-long downtown redevelopment planning project for downtown Redmond, a community of 33,000. Emphasis was placed on three issues: connecting to massive local and regional markets; improving the economic climate for local business; and improving urban design and development guidelines.

The system was guided by a detailed implementation program. All of this work was grounded in detailed market research, economic analysis and community priorities for building a livable city center. The vision drew millions of private investment dollars and nearly every innovation and development in the plan has become a reality.
