The second of two projects awarded to non-profit developers that proposed SLI buildings in a competitive RFP process with the City of Seattle’s Office of Housing. Downtown Emergency Services Center (DESC) purchased a 125-unit SLI building to provide housing, crisis intervention services and medical care to people experiencing homelessness. Operational cost savings from the SLI building allowed an additional full time DESC program staff member.
